On My dog page, there is a feature for Report Absence. When dog owner enable this feature, the dog is shown as Reported absence (Day Off) to the staff. This applies immediately until you disable the feature.
If dog owner instead want to report the dog as absent in advance during an upcoming period, you should omit the schedule for the days the dog is to be absent. That is, your dog is present on the days when a schedule is specified.
